The short answer

Which POS software should a bakery choose?

A bakery needs a fast POS for the morning rush, a catalog that handles lunchtime options and promotions, and a simple way to take orders for collection. With Beez360, BeezPOS takes payments at the counter with an integrated card terminal, BeezBO centralizes the catalog and sales, and BeezKiosk and BeezC&C add a self-ordering kiosk and online ordering when the counter is overloaded.

The moments that matter in a bakery

  • The morning rush

Bread, pastries, coffee: visits are short and frequent. The touchscreen POS must find a product in a few taps and take payment without delay. Card payments go through a terminal connected to BeezPOS, with no need to re-enter the amount.

  • Lunchtime snacking

Sandwiches, salads, drinks and desserts are combined. Options and promotions are set once in the BeezBO catalog, then applied the same way at the POS, on the kiosk and online.

  • Pre-orders

Birthday cakes, platters and seasonal specialties: an order for collection should be recorded once, with the customer and collection details. With BeezC&C, customers order online in advance and staff find the order in the shop’s order flow.

  • Several shops

As you grow, BeezBO shares a common catalog, applies each shop’s own rules and gives a consolidated view of sales, with figures for each location.

A pre-order, from the website to collection

  1. 01

    The customer orders online

They choose products on BeezC&C, with the items and prices set in BeezBO.

  2. 02

    The shop receives it

The order joins the shop’s order flow: no paper slip or message to copy out.

  3. 03

    Staff prepare it

If you have a preparation station, BeezKitchen shows orders to prepare with their status.

  4. 04

    The customer collects it

At the counter, staff find the order and hand it over. Sales are tracked in BeezBO alongside counter sales.

What to check before choosing bakery POS software

  1. How long it takes to sell a loaf and a croissant during the rush.
  2. How lunchtime meal deals, options and promotions are set up.
  3. Allergen information available for every product.
  4. How pre-orders are handled: ordering, payment and collection.
  5. Card payments connected to the POS, with no amount to re-enter.
  6. The share of your sales made by weight.
  7. NF525 certification for the proposed version (France).
  8. Hardware, installation and support included in the proposal.

FAQ

Your questions, answered

How do I set up click and collect in a bakery?

With BeezC&C, customers order on your branded website and collect in store. The catalog comes from BeezBO, so products and prices match the POS. Decide which products to offer online and how collection works before launch.

Can I sell by weight with a connected scale?

Not at this stage: connected scales are not available in BeezPOS. If part of your sales is made by weight, mention it during the demo so we can look at the best setup.

Is card payment connected to the POS?

Yes. BeezPOS works with an integrated payment terminal: the amount is sent to the terminal without re-entry. The terminal model and terms are set out in your proposal.

Can I take pre-orders for holidays?

Yes, with BeezC&C: customers order online in advance and staff find the order in the shop’s order flow. Collection rules and lead times are defined with you during scoping.

Is a self-ordering kiosk useful in a bakery?

It is not required. BeezKiosk mainly helps when the queue grows at peak times. You can start with the POS and back office (Starter package), then add online ordering (Growth) or the kiosk (360 Suite).

Is the POS NF525 certified?

NF525 compliance is a target; this site does not claim an acquired certification. Ask for documentation covering the proposed version before making a decision.

Can I manage several shops?

Yes. BeezBO centralizes the catalog, manages access rights and provides a consolidated view of sales, with figures for each shop.
